On Thursday 6 August 2020, The Motorsport Show showcased how some of the top names in this area have got their coverage back on track with live broadcasts of races and championships amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The event enabled SVG Europe to examine how motor racing is being brought back to TV screens following the coronavirus pandemic and how coverage might develop in the future.
Gravity Media’s Project Account Manager Ryan Campbell featured in one of the sessions, talking all things motorsport, what it is like on location today and augmented reality possibilities. As the 2020 Formula 1 season returned to TV screens in July with the Austrian Grand Prix, Ryan has been on site at every Formula 1 Grand Prix since. You can find out more about the return of Formula 1 to our screens here.
Gravity Media’s outside broadcast truck Pictor is in pole position with four cameras and a Portajib from Lammo Ltd alongside the remote commentary set up to capture the breath taking moments from this year’s Grand Prix events.
