Gravity Media, the leading global provider of complex live broadcast facilities and production services to content owners, creators and distributors, has welcomed Nick Bender, Vanessa Cooper and Laura Wignall to its UK Business Development Team.
Nick Bender: With over 15 years of business development experience, Nick has worked across several market sectors including FMCG, Publishing, Media and Broadcast. Prior to joining Gravity Media, Nick managed new business for post-production house Evolutions TV, working across factual entertainment and documentary programming. He also previously worked with global advertising agencies at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Joining Gravity Media as a Business Development Manager in the UK, Nick is responsible for leading Gravity Media’s expansion into the Studio, Entertainment and Reality TV markets.
Vanessa Cooper: With seven years’ experience in bid management, Vanessa has worked in a number of public sector organisations and is excited about her move into the world of corporate bidding. In her role as Senior Proposals Coordinator at Gravity Media based in Watford, Vanessa is responsible for producing high quality responses and other bid documentation in answer to client RFI, RFQ and RFPs. With a background in bid management, Vanessa has brought her expertise into the proposals team to ensure Gravity Media’s capabilities are brought to life in its bids, enabling the business to expand its client portfolio. Vanessa is also an APMP registered member.
Laura Wignall: As the new Senior Business Development Executive for Gravity Media at The Production Centre in London, Laura is responsible for developing new partnerships and opportunities and delivering strategic plans to support business growth. Laura also works closely with key clients to manage existing contracts and relationships, alongside the Head of Business Development, Blair Wood and the Senior Leadership Team. Prior to joining Gravity Media, Laura worked at ITN Sport both as a producer and developing new and existing business. She had a key role in the production of the World Athletics Championships in Doha 2019 and the Cricket World Cup of the same year. Laura has worked at several different broadcasters over the past eleven years, producing major events including two Olympic Games, many years of The Championships, Wimbledon and World Athletics Championships as well as two years on the tennis circuit for WTA media. Laura begun her career at the BBC, spending six years working across both sports and news broadcasting.
