Gravity Media’s Chiswick-based Production & Content business formerly known as Input Media has been nominated for a BAFTA.
The nomination comes in the Best Sports Programme category for Input Media’s production of the Women’s World Cup Semi Final between England and the USA, a programme which was watched by a record 11.7 million viewers in the UK on BBC One.
The project saw all production take place at our new facility in Manchester, which housed post production suites and a remote gallery, whilst our presentation crew travelled around France, presenting live from each stadium.
You can read more about the project in this SVG Europe article here.
The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards 2020 ceremony where the winners will be announced will be hosted by Richard Ayoade and broadcast on BBC One on Friday 31 July 2020. For the first time ever, BAFTA will be making a closed studio awards for BBC One rather than at the Royal Festival Hall as planned.
In addition to Gravity Media being nominated for a BAFTA in the Best Sports Programme category, a number of clients of our Gravity House cutting rooms on Frith Street in Soho, London, and of our post-production equipment rental business have also received nominations. Find out more here.
