Gravity Media (as HyperActive) engineers have been once again getting mud under their fingernails, helping rig the latest series of BBC Two’s SpringWatch in its 2018 home at the Sherborne Park Estate, Gloucestershire.
Located in the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we installed a total of 12 Avid Media Composer Symphony suites, along with Avid ISIS 5000 Series Storage Engines, NEXIS, Interplay and a complete EVS workflow solution.
This allowed the programme’s 15 or so editors and assistants to piece together footage from several days’ continuous filming, achieving stunning pictures of some of the UK’s most spectacular wildlife in its natural habitat.
This is also the natural habitat of Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan, but they happily played second fiddle to the Mandarin ducklings, goldcrest chicks and other creatures great and small.
