April at Gearhouse Broadcast

F1 Pods V1 2

As the World Cup approaches, we’ve had a busy time at Gearhouse delivering IBC facilities for ITV’s coverage of the event. We also provided the UK broadcaster with a studio set-up on Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Copacabana beach. Our involvement in the project was covered by a number of the main industry publications, including TVB Europe and SVG Europe.

Our custom built flyaway pods have been in action during the F1 Grand Prix season for the third year running. The story received coverage in InBroadcast and Advanced Television among others.

As April drew to a close, the Systems Integration team has been delivering additional facilities to broadcasters for the upcoming World Cup coverage. The sales team has been in discussions about a potential sale of OBLite, our flexible, compact and cost effective HD OB trailer. Watch this space for updates on these and other projects.
