The FIFA World Cup is the biggest and most eagerly anticipated sporting event on the planet. Russia 2018 was watched by a record 3.6 billion people worldwide, with over a billion viewers tuning in to watch the Final alone. It’s without question world sport’s most coveted prize, and we’re proud to have played our part in bringing unforgettable TV moments to living rooms around the world for as long as we can remember.

We’ve supported FIFA with comprehensive broadcast solutions at the 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 Word Cups, and with just over two years to go until Qatar 2022, we’ve been busy equipping the host stadia with broadcast and communications infrastructure fit for such a large-scale, high-profile event.

With extensive experience in stadium fit-outs and big-ticket live events, we were commissioned to support the redevelopment of the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha – the first World Cup venue to be finished – as well as the Al Bayt, the Al Rayyan and the Al-Thumama. What’s more, all these projects are being run and managed out of our Doha office, ensuring technical expertise is met by the necessary local knowledge to deliver these projects successfully.

Our most-recent World Cup outing was the 2019 Women’s World Cup for BBC Sport – a multi-award-nominated production that broke new ground in sports broadcasting. Each match-day show was presented from pitch-side in France, with production being handled remotely at our Manchester facility in the UK, with simultaneous technical support coming from a team of engineers located at our Production Centre in London.

Live and near-live coverage in football is where many of Gravity Media’s diverse capabilities come together, from consultancy, planning and design, to engineering, pre-production, logistics and crewing. At every stage of an assignment, we provide the kit, the people and the experience to ensure the project lands squarely in the back of the net. This includes live broadcast services, fast-turnaround highlights and full-time edits, along with scripted, voiced and ready-to-air highlights programmes at the end of each match-night. So when it comes to delivering flawless Tier 1 football coverage at the world’s biggest tournaments, the message is simple: Gravity Media – there’s no substitute.

We brought this insight to life with a campaign starring a character made entirely of money, fast asleep. The campaign spanned three 30″ TV adverts, Out-of-Home (OOH) posters, and…
