Launched in 2016, The Media Production & Technology Show has rapidly cemented its position as the UK’s largest and must-attend event for the media and broadcast industries. Originally focused on the creative side of content production, the event has now evolved to explore the technological innovations which power the enviable content production output in the UK today.

The interactive exhibition and seminar programme will cover all aspects of broadcast content creation and technology, including pre-production, production, virtual production, post, and distribution, and bring together 7,000+ attendees from across the industry.

Gravity Media is once again a Sponsor of the Broadcast Sport Theatre and is also showcasing the equipment rental, post production broadcast solutions and the full range of wider offerings on Stand L314.

The stand will also give the team a chance to showcase Gravity Media’s speciality cameras, tracking systems and remote solutions for global broadcasters, production companies and live-event organisers. From handheld wireless cameras and in-sport on-boards, through to POV cameras, RF facilities and helicopter links, our clients enjoy the many benefits of the latest specialist camera solutions. From the jungle to the desert, the innovative specialist cameras are entrusted by filmmakers around the world to capture extraordinary images in challenging locations.

Gravity Media will also be hosting a Panel Discussion on Thursday 12 May at 2.45pm on the Broadcast Stage with BBC Studios and VERSA Studios as they delve into how they worked together to relocate the popular daytime show Morning Live in just two months.

The talk titled: The Making Of Morning Live: Relocating the popular morning show to Manchester ABC building sees Dave Rutter – Production Engineering Manager at BBC Studios, Charlie Ingall – Executive Director at VERSA Studios take to the stage to join Gravity Media’s Meryl McLaren – Director of Media Services & Facilities, Paul Sykes – Head of Systems Integration and Jamie Brewer – Head of Broadcast & Post Production Rental.

The popular breakfast show Morning Live which launched on Monday 21 February at 9.15am from the new roof top studios in the ABC Building, Quay Street, Manchester, features a ‘northern powerhouse of women’ hosts made up of Sam Quek, Kimberley Walsh and Sara Cox who join Kym Marsh and Gethin Jones as permanent members of the presenting line up. Enabling the broadcast from the new VERSA ABC Studio, Gravity Media worked closely to deliver the show from a brand new studio it had created in the heart of Manchester. The studio boasts a highly technical specification where Gravity Media was appointed to provide systems integration, technical equipment supply and rental for both the studio and wraparound edit and ingest with ongoing engineering support.

Ed Tischler – Gravity Media Managing Director, EMEA comments: “The first Media Production & Technology Show post Covid looks set to be one of the biggest and best attended to date and we are proud to have Gravity Media sponsoring, speaking and with a stand to showcase our new offering and latest speciality cameras. We look forward to being part of the current and future tech trends conversation evolving all areas of the broadcasting industry”
