On Tuesday 9 March, the nations famous block of flats is back on Channel 4 with a week-long celebrity special of The Circle to raise money for Stand Up to Cancer.

The Circle is the TV programme where players can only communicate via The Circle with the aim of the game is to avoid being blocked and come out as the most popular player. However, there’s a twist – for the celebrity version each celeb is not who they may seem to be. This is the social media game where anyone can be anyone!

Gravity Media is delighted to have worked on the third series of The Circlewhich airs on Channel 4 on Tuesday 16 March at 21:15hrs GMT.

This, heavily post-produced show, required a powerful behind the scenes workflow in order to condense 40 contestant camera feeds, being recorded all day long, into a one-hour show. Our client requested a fully redundant rig which means that everything is backed up and duplicated on separate Nexis storage just in case there is a glitch.

COVID-19 restrictions required many of the production team to work remotely. The Gravity Media post-production team has been using HP ZCentral Remote Boost to work remotely from Z8Gen4 workstations that are current top of the range Avid supported workstations. The editorial team has been able to produce the latest series of The Circle from all over the world, with the most distant team member being in Australia.

Gravity Media has been supplying post-production equipment to the broadcast industry for over 30 years. Great manufacturer relationships have allowed us to build up a hire stock that’s as deep as it is broad, and we understand all of the benefits it brings for our clients. Our teams work tirelessly to build their product release knowledge and how best to integrate new kit into effective, compact packages.
