Lewis Hamilton triumphed in a thrilling finale to the Mexican Grand Prix, brilliantly making an ambitious one-stop strategy work to beat Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and his Mercedes team mate Valtteri Bottas.

Hamilton superbly eked out the life of his hard tyres at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, making a 48-lap stint work to take his second win in Mexico, and Mercedes’ 100th as a constructor. It wasn’t quite enough for the Briton to secure his sixth drivers’ title, but that must surely come at the next race on the calendar: the United States Grand Prix. Fortunately for F1 fans, that’s just one week away, taking place over the weekend of 1–3 November.

Gravity Media was onsite in Mexico supporting transmission for Whisper and Channel 4, and we’ll be there in Texas too for the 2019 title-decider.
