The 16th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) were hosted in Melbourne. The event was held at the fantastic Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). 6 days of competition with heats in the morning sessions and the semi-finals and finals in the evening session.
Gravity Media was the host broadcast and media production company for the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) in Melbourne, producing more than 36 hours of live coverage, over 6 days, and delivering the complete “turn-key” global television production. Gravity Media deployed two state-of-the-art high definition outside broadcast trucks (HD 5 & HD7), SNG vehicles, more than 30 cameras, including speciality and robotic cameras and drones, and a crew of 110 to deliver the coverage.
Millions of Australians tuned in to Channel Nine’s coverage, with a reach of 3.8 million people. The broadcast performed competitively over the 6 days and nights, often winning its timeslot against tough competition. The Broadcast was also streamed to over 150 countries and territories with over 36 hours of live free to air action. This brought unparalled exposure to Swimming in Australia.
