Driving the ambitious

Outside Broadcast
USA

Gravity Media’s USA operation runs a fleet of mobile units equipped with the most advanced HD and 4K technology available. We have a mobile unit for every occasion, from Sprinter-based vans to custom-built semis.

These mobile units cover a wide range of applications, including entertainment, news, and corporate events, and we also provide highly skilled crewing, comprising some of the most experienced supervisors and engineers from around the world. We support productions large and small from start to finish, with dedicated teams focused on all aspects of logistics.

Our range-topping vehicle Columbus is a 60ft (18m) technological tour de force, designed and built specifically for the US live market. Columbus is available for high-end 4K and UHD sports and entertainment productions, and was the first mobile unit to feature a full 4K monitor wall, one-button hydraulic deployment and integrated RF.

Most recently deployed to cover the start of the 2021 Major League Soccer season, Columbus has previously supported innumerable high-profile sports events, as well as the Oscars Red Carpet, Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Viewing Party, and the LA Philharmonic’s 100th anniversary concert – a little bit of something for everyone.

Meanwhile, before its current, long-term deployment, Prodigy, a 40ft (12m) G&A Stallion, covered projects ranging from the High Holy Days religious broadcast in Los Angeles, to the Latin GRAMMYs in Las Vegas. Our other 40ft truck, Maestro, which features a full-length curb-side expand to allow seating for eight in production and five in tape, has recently been on-set in LA supporting the production of comedy show Ridiculousness.

As a further indication of the breadth of projects these mobile units can support, two of our other trucks, Ovation (a 33ft/10m Gerling Super Nomad) and Polaris (a 27ft/8m Gerling Super Nomad) – each one of a brace of vehicles in this class – supported the 2020 Democratic National Convention, using a REMI production workflow.

A trio of Sprinter-class mini mobile units completes the collection, designed specifically to support ‘At Home’/REMI/HRP control room productions. Despite their compact size, these units carry all the professional broadcast equipment needed to undertake a wide range of projects.

In short, Gravity Media in the USA has a mobile unit for every occasion. Contact us on enquiries@gravitymedia.com to discuss your next production.
