HyperActive has spent the past few days busy preparing the broadcast setup at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Working with BBC Music, our engineers made ready seven Avid Media Composer suites, nine EVS XT3 servers and a full MediaCentral Production Management integrated workflow solution.

MediaCentral Production Management is an advanced piece of kit that’s allowing the BBC to create and deliver a wider range of content across multiple TV, web, mobile and social media channels. This new integrated workflow makes it easier to create, manage and deliver content faster – ideal for Glastonbury and its myriad performances across multiple stages.

Tickets of course sold out in a matter of minutes when they went on sale in 2018, sending most people’s laptops into meltdown. The 200,000 lucky ones have made the pilgrimage to Worthy Farm in Somerset, but armchair revellers are also in for a treat. Whether you’re into The Killers or The Cure, you can stream the BBC’s 100 performances on iPlayer, listen on the BBC Sounds app, watch on TV, press the Red Button, or watch it all again On Demand.

The BBC’s coverage runs from 28th to 30th June, and as of the time of writing, the weather looks warm and dry. Shh – don’t jinx it.
