Established in 1976, the Olivier Awards are the most sought-after and highly regarded accolades in British theatre. This year’s awards ceremony took place at The Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 7 April – hosted by Jason Manford, and featuring live performances from a number of the West End’s biggest shows and most famous faces.

Best New Play was won by Matthew Lopez’s two-part epic The Inheritance, Best Director went to Christopher Ashley for musical Come From Away, and Best Revival was awarded to the Almeida’s production of Tennessee Williams’s Summer and Smoke. Meanwhile, Best Actor went to Kyle Soller (The Inheritance), and Best Actress went toPatsy Ferran (Summer and Smoke).

Helping support this huge night in the theatrical calendar, HyperActive engineers were onsite at the venue running five Avid Media Composer suites, three EVS XT3s and Avid Interplay Production.
