Based in our Watford office, the UK Tax Assistant will have a UK tax background and will play a key role as a direct support for the Risk, Tax and Treasury Director with regards to all aspects of taxation affecting the UK business.
Responsibilities
• Responsibility for all UK Corporation Tax compliance;
• Review of VAT compliance undertaken by the finance department;
• Management of UK employment taxes, including the completion of annual PSAs, P11Ds, and working with the business to advise on the tax implications of payments to employees and freelancers;
• Advising on changes to UK legislation and the implementation of additional requirements both by HMRC and the Government; and
• Assisting the Risk, Tax and Treasury Director with any other UK and international issues that may arise.

Adhering to our company H&S policy and ensuring that all company risk assessments are observed where applicable to your role, taking ownership of improvements and escalating concerns where necessary.
ISO
Contribute to the continual improvement of our management systems to ensure compliance with our legal obligations and maintain certification.
Qualifications
ATT qualification – advantageous but not essential
Competencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
• Solid planning and organisational skills •
Strong Excel skills
• Experience with Alphatax beneficial
Experience
• UK tax experience covering Corporation Tax, VAT and Employment Taxes
• Solid track record in positively influencing people at all levels within an organisation
