Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior HR & WHS Coordinator to join our team in the Artarmon, Production Centre Sydney.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior HR & WHS Coordinator to join our team in the Artarmon, Production Centre Sydney.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the administration and documentation of Human Resources services within Gravity Media Australia. This includes recruitment, WHS compliance and organising staff events. This role supports the Head of HR to deliver a high level of HR support across the business to meet the needs of the workforce management and to maintain and build a positive work culture.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney with exposure to a diverse range of projects.

Role Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • First point of contact for staff HR enquiries
  • Undertake recruitment and onboarding for new roles
  • Prepare and maintain staff personnel files and documentation
  • Assist payroll with staff related payroll queries and manage staff leave records
  • Assist with ongoing management of the Company policies including the COVID Safe Plan
  • Develop and coordinate corporate social events
  • Support the Head of HR in resolving HR queries

Work, Health & Safety

  • Coordinate quarterly WHS Committee meetings, maintain meeting minutes and follow up action points with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain all workers compensation and incident reporting files and assist with claims and annual reporting
  • Ensure legal requirements regarding health and safety are met and safe work practices are maintained
  • Assist staff with applications and renewals of approved work-related certifications

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in WHS compliance
  • Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to manage conflicting deadlines
  • Knowledge of Human Resources, WHS and FWA legislation and guidelines
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office
