Job Title: Network Engineer

About the role

A brief summary

A Network Engineer configures and supports layer 3 transport and maintains a broad layer 2 domain within an existing infrastructure for our client, a leading esports specialist.

Your day will involve supporting networking for the remote broadcasting of live video events. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities. A candidate should be comfortable rapidly triaging and resolving network issues in high-pressure live environments. 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Manage and support networks that power Riot’s global events and competitive environments
  • Actively engages other teams in order to build resilience into the system and across
  • Features
  • Ensures systems are appropriately documented, and that documentation is maintained.
  • Actively manages ambiguity within complex and diverse problem spaces, breaking down problems and clearly communicating trade-offs throughout development
  • Supports global events on-site & remotely.

This role is for you if

  • 3+ years experience working with a medium (20+) scale network
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networking issues
  • In depth knowledge of either Cisco or Juniper CLI
  • Understanding of network security concepts:stateful firewalls and DDoS mitigation
  • Functional knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT, QoS, SNMP, Syslog
  • Practical experience troubleshooting BGP
  • JNCIP-EN/CCNP enterprise or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Palo Alto appliances and Cisco Nexus
  • Experience with Mutilcast, IPSec, SDWAN, WiFi
  • Experience supporting traveling events, roadshows or conferences
  • Experience supporting Live video production
