As Marketing Manager for Gravity Media Australia (GMA), you will be responsible for elevating GMA’s brand across Australia, ensuring its position as a leading full-service production company — far beyond its OB (outside broadcast) roots. You will lead the development and localisation of marketing initiatives that align with our global brand strategy, while tailoring content and campaigns to resonate with local audiences and industry sectors.

Working closely with Sales, Business Development, and Production teams, you’ll drive integrated marketing strategies that support commercial growth, amplify key projects and capabilities, and reinforce GMA’s reputation across digital, physical, and client-facing touchpoints. From storytelling and content creation to campaign execution and performance tracking, you’ll own the end-to-end marketing function in Australia.

This role calls for a hands-on, strategic marketer with strong stakeholder management skills, a sharp eye for brand consistency, and a passion for creating meaningful, business-driving content. You’ll act as the central point of contact for all marketing activities in Australia, while also collaborating with global colleagues to ensure local insights are represented on the international stage.

You are a self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to manage tasks autonomously, capable of taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion. You are comfortable in making decisions and prioritizing work independently

The role requires occasional weekend and late-night work, to ensure coverage of major sporting and entertainment events in Australia, and to attend calls with our global marketing teams based in UK and Europe.

This is a full-time permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand & Strategic Marketing

  • Lead the continued rollout and localisation of the GMA brand across all Australian touchpoints (digital, physical, client-facing).
  • Position GMA as a full-service, end-to-end production company — not just OB trucks — with capabilities across Studios, Design, Production, Postproduction, SNG, Communications, Specialty Cameras, Spidercam, CelBo, Production Management and more.
  • Ensure all marketing outputs are consistent with global brand guidelines and contribute to a cohesive international brand identity.

Business Development Support

  • Collaborate with Sales & Business Development and Production teams to identify and engage prospective clients, particularly within the corporate and branded content sectors.
  • Develop tailored marketing campaigns, pitch content, and assets that support commercial objectives and business development efforts.

Content Creation & Campaigns

  • Produce and oversee the development of media releases, behind-the-scenes (BTS) content, and promotional videos for GMA’s local productions, talent, and technology.
  • Create engaging media releases, case studies, and client success stories that can be leveraged locally and globally.
  • Develop and manage campaign content for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter to support both brand awareness and lead generation.

Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the central marketing contact for GMA and project managers to ensure the business is well represented across all media.
  • Contribute to global communications initiatives, including the GMA Live internal newsletter and group-wide updates (in collaboration with the Global Marketing team).
  • Represent Australian interests and opportunities in global marketing discussions and planning.

Marketing Operations & Reporting

  • Manage local marketing budgets, suppliers, contractors, and creative resources.
  • Track campaign performance, monitor market trends, and prepare regular reports on marketing ROI and impact.
  • Work collaboratively with external PR agencies and media partners where appropriate.

Skills & Experience:

Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, ideally within broadcast, media, events, production, or technology sectors.
  • Proven experience leading branding projects, developing integrated marketing strategies, and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content production skills — ability to turn technical subject matter into engaging narratives.
  • Experience with digital marketing, including social media, email marketing, and performance tracking.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to navigate global/local dynamics in a group structure.
  • A track record of successfully supporting business development goals through marketing alignment.
  • Available to attend after hours calls with UK head office (usually bi-weekly), and work occasional weekends and late nights, to ensure coverage of major sporting and entertainment events in Australia.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of live production, broadcast technology, or media services is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with global brands or within international organisations.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, or basic design tools is an advantage.
  • Understanding of public relations and media engagement in a B2B context.
  • Current drivers license and vehicle is not a requirement but a plus

What Success Looks Like

  • The Gravity Media Australia brand is visible, consistent, and well regarded across the market.
  • New opportunities are opened through compelling storytelling, high-quality content, and collaborative campaigns.
  • The role of marketing is clearly embedded in business strategy and contributes measurable value.
  • Stakeholders across production, technical, commercial, and global teams see marketing as a trusted partner.
