Based within our Mascot location, this person will work within the warehouse. This person will report directly to the Workshop Engineering Manager. The role will require the individual to perform an array of functions, as outlined below. The role will require the person to have a good work ethic, attention to detail and an ability to think on their feet.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Junior Technician to join our team in the Mascot warehouse in Sydney.

Working in our Mascot Warehouse, this role will assist the Workshop Engineering team with basic repairs and maintenance of equipment. This includes fault finding and appropriate follow up actions, aiming to restore equipment to good working condition and specified performance level.

The Junior Technician role is responsible for tracking and presentation of equipment in and out of the warehouse. This requires liaising with onsite teams, maintaining detailed and up-to-date documentation of equipment maintenance, repairs, and movement records.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney, providing an opportunity to kick-start a career in a busy broadcast and entertainment environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with Workshop Engineering team to provide first level testing and fault finding on equipment returned with any malfunctioning parts;
  • Assist Workshop Engineering team to repair and maintain equipment;
  • Check all systems before dispatch
  • Conduct stock checks on parts and equipment
  • Produce tracking documentation for equipment and systems
  • Assisting in building racks for projects
  • Packing, loading and unloading of trucks
  • Scanning of equipment to and from jobs
  • Cleaning of equipment and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse environment

Skills and Experience 

  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Reliable, a good timekeeper with high integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Proven ability to work well under instruction
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Must hold valid driver’s license
