ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity to lead our growing HR team in Dublin, supporting a high calibre broadcast team, who provide services to well-known and highly successful esports publisher.

Reporting to the Head of HR UK & Ireland, the HR Business Partner will deliver strategic input & day-to-day operational best-in-class support to ensure people processes and policies are in place to support the delivery of a Managed Service at the Dublin facility, in line with our people strategy. ​This is a high-touch role with both the workforce and the client, with the opportunity to make a real impact.​

You will support and drive initiatives that enhance the culture, capacity and capability required to build engaged high-performing inclusive broadcast teams.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Business Partnering

  • Provide strategic and operational support to the on-site Service Delivery Manager and their function leads to ensure the delivery of a managed service to our client.
  • Ensure compliance and implementation of legislation and ensuring HR best practice is adhered to in Ireland.
  • Align with company HR initiatives and support the execution at a country level.
  • Coach, upskill and manage the HR Coordinator in the team.
  • Collaborate with other HR resources allocated to the contract globally to support the mobility of the workforce.

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead hiring talent, identifying requirements, using the most appropriate recruitment and selection techniques, including interviewing and assessments.
  • Continually identify improvements in our recruitment processes and ensure creative, best practice methods are utilised, with a close eye on the company’s aims for diversity and inclusion.
  • Focus for the recruitment and retention of high performing employees.
  • Develop next generation talent pipeline via partnerships with third level institutions

Performance Management

  • Ensure the performance management processes operate on a regular and consistent basis, measuring performance against KPIs.
  • Upskill and coach department leads so that they are equipped and empowered to hold effective performance conversations and can confidently manage people-related issues within their teams.

Employee Relations

  • Implement effective ER processes and policies to ensure that employees are treated fairly so that risks to employees and the company can be prevented or mitigated.
  • Ensure the company has a robust, consistent approach for managing any ER cases that arise.

HR Processes

Learning and Development

  • Lead the onboarding and integration of new people who join the company to reinforce the company culture, including induction training and any new start processes.
  • Ensure that PeopleHR (Access) is fully implemented and used by managers and employees to maximum the benefit of an integrated HR system.
  • Continually review policies and procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient HR operation that is up to date with relevant legislation and best practice requirements.
  • Liaise with the finance team & payroll partner to ensure a smooth and accurate monthly payroll.
  • Manage the employee benefits schemes and be a point of contact for both providers and employees.
  • ​Develop an L&D approach for the operational team in partnership with the client.

Commercial

  • In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, contribute towards regular presentations and feedback with the client.

 

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF
You can effectively collaborate with department leads by providing both strategic and operational HR support across all facets of HR including aligning HR practices with organisational objectives. You have a track record in fostering relationships with stakeholders at all levels, identifying and nurturing talent to drive a high-performance culture.  Whilst not essential, experience of working within a managed service environment is preferable, as is experience in esports.

You will be a CIPD (or equivalent experience) qualified HR professional with demonstrable HRBP level experience. You will have a thorough understanding of HR process and procedures and experience of implementing these within a commercial environment. You are adaptable and responsive to business change, have strong strategic thinking, relationship-building, and change management skills.

In detail, you will have:

  • A proven track record in a HR related role in a fast-paced environment, with a degree level education, or CIPD qualification and/or relevant experience.
  • Ideally you will have experience line managing team members.
  • Experience working within a managed service environment preferable.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven experience in supporting business growth
  • Passion for delivering and a commitment to exceptional people experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with employees at all levels, candidates and client stakeholders.
  • Strong experience working on a broad range of HR deliverables such as, Irish Employment Law, talent nurturing from entry to senior level, coaching & career pathway development, policies & best practices, employee engagement and performance management.
  • Experience coaching, guiding and facilitating a culture of continuous feedback to ensure the development of a growth focused culture to effectively meet client service delivery requirements
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other HR software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
