Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Post Production to join our team at the Moore Park and Artarmon Production Centres.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Post Production to join our team at the Moore Park and Artarmon Production Centres.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the day to day and overall strategic development of the Post-Production department. This involves identifying, creating and delivering post-production project opportunities and strategy to deliver both short term and long term growth in this department. You will work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a high standard of customer service delivery.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney with exposure to a diverse range of exciting projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify and investigate new opportunities for the post-production department
  • Build solid relationships and reputation within the film and TV production, broadcaster, SVOD and post-production community
  • Deliver short and long term business development and growth strategy for the post-production department
  • Manage annual P&L and capex budgets and monthly business post operations reporting
  • Promote the services of the business including Avid and EVS based integrated workflows for deployment in TV and feature film productions
  • Deliver accurate quotes and excellent service delivery in collaboration with the Technology and Engineering teams
  • Schedule resources and ensure technical issues are resolved to meet overall post-production deadlines
  • Work alongside our marketing function to own web, social media and event requirements
  • Manage CRM data for pipeline and forecast reporting, undertake competitor and market intelligence analysis to deliver new post-production opportunities
  • Develop and implement procedures to increase efficiency and profitability
  • Foster a reputation for professionalism and service for yourself and the Company

Experience Profile  

  • Substantial experience in the post production industry with proven track record of delivering results
  • Leadership or business development experience within the post production industry
  • A network of existing client relationships within the post production industry
  • Understanding of production technical workflows

  • Highly organised
  • Excellent writing skills, specifically within a bid writing/tender context.
  • Strong numerical literacy, comfortable working with budgets and complex quotations.

  • Ability to use Excel to manipulate data both for data analysis, and for presenting the data in other formats.
  • Ability to build motivated and cohesive teams
