As part of the technical services team, the Engineer In Charge is responsible for technical duties associated with live broadcast programming in a high profile, network-level, fast-paced REMI facility in Las Vegas.

Technical lead for on-site professional technical crew, project preparation, installation, programming, fault finding and maintenance of remote facility broadcast equipment. Collaborative, excellent communicator, whose sense of urgency is tempered with a need to get it right.



  • Primary technical point of client contact in REMI broadcast facility
  • Oversees and troubleshoots all remote facility broadcast equipment
  • Work collaboratively with client and operations staff to ensure proper technical execution and successful delivery of live broadcasts
  • Performs installation, maintenance and repair of broadcast and production equipment in REMI facility
  • Vendor point of contact for equipment repair and maintenance
  • Adapts to changing priorities, ability to resolve competing priorities with composure in a demanding environment
  • Maintains depth of knowledge for facility based equipment, client specific operation, and new technology trends, standards, methodologies along with emerging technologies
  • Ability to read complex, comprehensive signal flow diagrams
  • Demonstrated expertise and operation of waveform monitors and other measuring devices to analyze various formats of audio and video signals


  • 7 years minimum experience within broadcast engineering across studio, REMI and outside broadcast environments
  • Education or training in broadcast engineering
  • Ability to respond and work nights, holidays or weekends as required

Knowledge base

  • Demonstrated expertise with broadcast equipment and systems: video, audio, communications, basic server, networking topology and multiple broadcast systemsʼ control software
  • Manufacturer-provided broadcast training: Sony, Evertz, Dante, Lawo, Clear Com, RTS
  • Operational efficiency in Auto cad, Vizio and/or MS-Project desired
  • Superior communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with team members, non-technical persons, in addition to local and remote client representatives
  • Excellent soldering skills
  • Self-motivated and resourceful in solving unusual and unexpected problems
  • Willing to share knowledge and train staff as required


  • Ability to sit, reach outward or above the shoulder, stand, walk, handle with fingers, stand, bend, and stoop
  • Ability to operate a keyboard, view a video display terminal screen, ability to use telephone equipment
  • Ability to stand for an hour at a time
  • Must be able to climb ladders up to 24ʼ tall
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push or pull up to 30 pounds.
