About the role

We are looking for an Electronics Engineer/Technician who is passionate about what they do, to join our “Globecam™” specialty cameras team and be involved in leading edge technology and product development. 

In your role as Globecam Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for driving innovation and quality in electronics design throughout the full product development life cycle, working within our tightly integrated, multidisciplinary teams. You will be instrumental in creating new products in collaboration with clients, from concept through to production, always applying our high-quality standards while keeping up with the latest broadcast technologies.

This is a full-time role based in Clayton, VIC with opportunities to travel across Australia and abroad, providing exposure to a diverse range of exciting projects.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Demonstrate and apply a sound knowledge and understanding of electronic equipment, RF systems and electronic circuitry.
  • Design and manufacture wireless specialty cameras systems for deployment across the TV broadcast environment.
  • Operate Globecam and associated technical facilities to fulfill clients’ requirements. This will involve travelling to various sites to operate and service the equipment as required, both domestic and internationally.
  • Diagnose and repair technical faults on equipment and systems. This includes reporting technical issues to the relevant departments or suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Provide supervision over all technical and operational aspects of allocated projects.
  • Assist and provide support to other teams and projects as required.

This role is for you if you have

  • Tertiary qualification in an electronics field – or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with the use of electronic design tools is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with embedded micro controller programming is preferred but not essential.
  • Good mechanical aptitude in product development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of RF technologies.
  • Logical thinking with good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and schedules, including interstate and overseas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and prioritisation of tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
