Gravity Media is looking for a highly motivated and professional individual to assist the Engineering Team in tracking, updating, and managing the core engineering systems across the business and to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of engineering projects across our media facilities and services.

We’re delighted to be expanding our team and we’re looking for an experienced Broadcast Engineering Project Manager.

We are looking for a highly motivated and professional individual to assist the Engineering Team in tracking, updating, and managing the core engineering systems across the business and to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of engineering projects across our media facilities and services.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Sydney, providing exposure to a diverse range of exciting local and international projects. Reporting to the Director – Engineering, you will work closely with key stakeholders across our broadcast engineers, technical operations, assets and logistics, and media facilities and services to ensure all contracted services are provided at the highest level.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and reporting of engineering projects for both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Work with engineering and field teams to develop, manage and maintain the engineering documentation including cabling and drawings;
  • Oversee and deliver upgrades, maintenance and green field projects across the business;
  • Assist with engineering costings and quotations for Media Services and Facilities;
  • Co-ordinate and communicate with various departments and stakeholders to deliver project outcomes;
  • Providing on site support to field teams on a project basis;
  • Work in collaboration with the IT and Engineering department to ensure cohesiveness and consistency in systems, operational practices and standards across the Company;
  • Providing remote support both online and by telephone of our deployed systems;
  • Ensure projects are compliant with Company policy, SWMS and WH&S requirements;
  • Identify areas of improvement across the business;

To be successful in this role you will be a highly motivated and proactive team player who has:

  • Awareness of multi-platform production/content and recent advancements in technology
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD design software desired
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proven level of high accountability of project outcomes
  • Initiative driven with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellence at time management, organising and prioritising multiple projects
  • Experience in the media and broadcast industry
  • Proven ability to form strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders.
