Gravity Media partnered with the NSW Department of Education to produce the 15th anniversary of the Nanga Mai Awards

The Nanga Mai Awards ceremony celebrates and recognises Aboriginal students, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal teachers, other departmental staff, Aboriginal community members and schools that demonstrate excellence across a diversity of areas.

The awards are organised by the Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships Directorate within Education and Skills Reform, NSW Department of Education.

Gravity Media provided a turnkey studio production for the event, involving dance performers, award hostings, and a musical performance across two studios. Gravity Media also filmed and produced a dance performance on location at the Sydney Opera House.

“The 15th annual Nanga Mai awards celebrate and recognise excellence in Aboriginal Education in 2020. Last year was a difficult year for school communities and it has been fantastic to work shoulder to shoulder with Gravity Media to develop a virtual celebration that highlights the amazing work from our schools during this time.  Their dynamic approach coupled with their expertise and professionalism has ensured that we create a high quality production to recognise our students, staff and school communities. Gravity Media accommodated our unique requests at all times.  They went above and beyond our expectations and always placed our students at the forefront.” – Anthony GalluzzoK- 6 Advisor I Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships

The Nanga Mai Awards will be celebrated as a virtual live stream event on the NSW DoE website on Wednesday 31st  March at 10:00hrs AEDT. To watch the event, click here.
