Los Angeles, CA, July 25, 2019 – Gearhouse Broadcast USA, the Gravity Media-owned supplier of technical facilities, crew and services used to capture the world’s most watched content, has moved its Los Angeles operation to a larger 34,300 square foot facility in the Van Nuys neighborhood of the city in order to better support its ongoing expansion plans across North America.

The facility move comes as part of a concerted focus on driving growth in the region, as illustrated by a series of recent investments. This includes last year’s acquisition of mobile production solutions specialist Proshow Broadcast, which has helped to position Gearhouse Broadcast as a leader in providing technologically advanced mobile units and cost-efficient production workflows. This has been supplemented by the introduction of three new mobile production units (Columbus, Skye and Iona) and several key hires.

As a result, Gearhouse’s US operation has flourished significantly, with the company recently completing its 1850th multi-camera, remote integration (REMI) production. This impressive number of ‘At Home’ productions includes a combination of Olympic sports, and college football games for the Pac-12 Networks and ESPN.

“With our business in North America expanding and gaining real momentum, the time is right to upgrade our LA base and expand our presence in the area,” said Michael Harabin, President of Gearhouse Broadcast USA. “This new facility will enable us to efficiently scale our LA operation and support our ever-increasing customer base with the mobile production units and facilities, rental gear, managed services and crew they need to capture and distribute high-quality content.”
