After a number of successful years at DAZN Group (previously Perform Group), Thea joined Gravity Media (as Gearhouse Broadcast) in the UK as Lead Production Manager in May 2019. Thea has more than a decade’s experience in similar roles and is an ambitious senior production management professional with experience in all areas of production including host broadcast, studio, magazine, highlights, OTT & branded content programming.
An expert in production management, Thea began her career at Input Media (acquired by Gravity Media in 2018) in 2008 eventually training as a Production Coordinator on Input Media’s long running contracts with Chelsea TV and UEFA. In 2010, Thea strengthened her production coordinator skills at IMG Media working on the BBC Football League Show and spent the summers on major tournaments such as UEFA Euro 2012 & Wimbledon. Thea continued to progress in her production management career joining Sunset & Vine as a Coordinator in 2013 as part of the team that launched BT Sport’s Premier League coverage, as well as UEFA U21’s, Women’s Super League and FA Cup Football.
In 2014 Thea joined DAZN Group as a Production Manager, working on numerous projects and contracts throughout her five years at the business.
The most notable of these was Premiership Rugby Productions, which involved organising 66 host broadcast rugby matches and 30 weekly highlights shows per season on behalf of the organising body.
Other key projects include host broadcasts for European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR), International Paralympic Committee (IPC), and Match Room Boxing USA. Thea was also seconded to be part of the ITV sport presentation team for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
She was heavily involved hiring and training new production management teams in Leeds, Munich, New York and Milan for the groups online streaming service DAZN - the first global pure-sport live and on-demand streaming service, which began launching in territories all over the world from 2015 onwards.
In her role as Lead Production Manager at Gravity Media, Thea’s responsibilities include ensuring the day to day operational management of the UK PM team, succession planning, acting as a key point of contact for clients, and overall responsibility for all production budgets within the Projects team.
